Everad and Voluum


Everad is a supplier of offers in the Health & Beauty vertical. They own the majority of their offers. You can set up tracking of Everad offers in just a few simple steps.

 
Prerequisites

Before you start, you need to have:

  • Active Voluum and Everad accounts.
  • A steady source of traffic from an external traffic source platform. 

    • In Voluum, you should have a traffic source added.
    • Configuring a source in Everad is described below.
  • (Optionally) A standalone landing page, if you choose to use your own instead of the one provided by Everad.
  • (Recommended) An SSL certificate enabled on your tracking domain. Read the Enabling SSL for a Dedicated Domain article to learn more.
  • A basic knowledge of Voluum. Completing the Voluum Getting Started guide is sufficient.

I. Adding a Source in Everad

First of all, you need to define your source in Everad. It is necessary when creating a campaign in Everad and is used for organizational purposes. To do so, perform the following steps:

  1. In Everad, go to Sources tab.

  2. Select the type of source you advertise in.
  3. Provide the name of that source.
  4. Click the Create source button.

You have defined a source in Everad. Now it's time to request an offer.

II. Requesting an Offer from Everad

In Everad you have a selection of offers for you to choose from. After you find your offer, you will have to request it. In order to do that, perform the following steps:

  1. In Everad, go to the Offers tab.

  2. Set any filtering options you want by selecting appropriate options from the drop-down menus.
  3. Click the Apply filters button.

  4. Locate the offer you like from the list below and click the Request access button.
  5. Confirm the pop-up window by clicking the Request access button again.
  6. On the Create ticket screen you should provide all the information required by Everad:

    • Your previous experience with other affiliate networks. If you have any, you should upload screenshots of your statistics.
    • Type of traffic source you intend to use.

    Then click the Create ticket button.

  7. Wait for your offer to be approved.

Once your offer is approved, you can create a campaign in Everad.

III. Creating a Campaign in Everad

Adding a campaign in Everad allows you to provide additional options regarding how your offer will be displayed. You can define:

  • Which offer you want to show and in what language.
  • What type of source do you work with.
  • What landing should be used. Note that what Everad refers to as a landing is actually an offer page.
  • What transit page (if any) should be used. Note that what Everad refers to as a transit page, in Voluum documentation is known as a landing page.

Creating a campaign allows you to get the offer link that you will submit to Voluum. To create a campaign in Everad, perform the following steps:

  1. In Everad, in the Campaigns tab, click the Add campaign button.

  2. Provide a name for your campaign in the Campaign name text field
  3. Select the offer that you have requested by selecting it from the Offers drop-down menu.
  4. Select the source type that you have defined by selecting it from the Source drop-down menu.
  5. Select the language that your offer should be presented in by selecting the appropriate option from the Language drop-down menu. Once you have selected all the options, the Landing card will appear.

  6. Select a landing page from the selection provided by Everad or select the Park a domain radio button to use your own.

    Voluum Info: What Everad refers to as a landing page is actually an offer page, so a place where a conversion actually happens.

  7. Select a transit page from the selection provided by Everad or select the Park a domain radio button to use your own. Alternatively, you can select not to use a transit page at all by clicking the Don't use radio button.

    Voluum Info: What Everad refers to as a transit page in Voluum is called a landing page, so a place where an additional content (such as text or graphics) can be provided. Using a transit page as a landing page will require some additional steps: Creating a lander element in Voluum. Read the Add a Lander Element article to learn more. Adding a Voluum click URL to a CTA button. Everad allows you to download their transit page. You can do this by clicking the Download button below the transit page you want to use. Once downloaded, you will have to modify it to include this click URL.

  8. Click the Save campaign button.
  9. Click the  icon next to the campaign that you created. The link builder window will appear.

  10. Copy the offer URL to the clipboard. You do not need to configure any tracking tokens at this point, as they are provided by the Everad affiliate network template in Voluum.

Your campaign is created.

IV. Add an Affiliate Network Element in Voluum

Affiliate network elements in Voluum are used to organize you offer elements and to configure tracking tokens automatically. You will only need to do this once, and then you will be able to use this affiliate network element in other offers that you will add to Voluum. In order to add this element, perform the following steps:

  1. In Voluum, go to the Affiliate networks tab.
  2. Click the Create button and select the Affiliate network option from the drop-down menu.

  3. Select the Everad template from the Other templates section.
  4. Click the Load template button.

  5. Configure other options, accordion to your needs, and click the Save button.

V. Add an Offer Element in Voluum

Once you have added an affiliate network element, you need to add an offer element to Voluum. To do so, perform the following steps:

  1. In Voluum, go to Offers.
  2. Click the Create button and select the Offer option from a drop-down menu.

  3. Provide the name of your offer in the Offer name text field.
  4. Paste the copied landing link to the Offer URL text field.
  5. Select the Everad affiliate network element that you have just created from the Affiliate network drop-down menu.
  6. Copy the tracking parameters and add them to the end of the offer URL, after the ? character. Your offer URL should look like this: http://123.healthfulnessinfo.com?sid1={clickid}

  7. Click the Copy button next to the postback URL to copy it to the clipboard. This postback URL has already all tracking parameters configured.
  8. Click the Save button.

You have now added an offer element to Voluum that will guide visitors to the selected offer from Everad.

VI. Configuring a Global Postback

The last step requires you to submit the postback URL that you have copied from Voluum to Everad. Everad allows you to configure postback specific for each campaign or a global one, that applies to all campaigns. As Voluum uses a global postback only, this option will be described below. To configure a global postback on Everad's side, perform the following steps:

  1. In Everad, go to the Campaigns tab.

  2. Click the Global postback button.

  3. Paste the copied postback URL to the Postback URL text field.
  4. Click the Save button.

Global postback settings have been saved. You can now get an offer link that should be pasted in Voluum.
